  20. If you are using targets that might be allocated to another device manager 
  21. (i.e. magneto-optical drives to OS2DASD or CD-ROM to OS2SCSI) you must 
  22. make the ADD refuses to allocate the appropriate targets to other device 
  23. managers. Here is an example :

  25.             BASEDEV=AHA154X.ADD /A:0 /!DM:3,4 /!SM:5

  27. The same command line switches are to be used with the other .ADDs 
  28. commands.

  30. This tells the ADD the on adapter 0 targets 3 and 4 cannot be given to the 
  31. DASD manager and target 5 cannot be given to the SCSI manager. There are 
  32. no limits to the number of targets this can be done to and be careful not 
  33. to prevent the DASD manager from using the boot target or the system will 
  34. hang.

  36. Multiple controllers can be used with or without the "/A:" option if all 
  37. attached devices are to be controlled by both the SCSI and DASD Manager.

  39. The AHA154X.ADD (later than 03-30-92) driver file has the following

  43. Hard drives larger than 1 GB are now supported. Partitions do not have any 
  44. size limitation, EXCEPT the boot partition is limited to one gigabyte. It 
  45. is much better to use HPFS on large partitions: you will get faster access 
  46. to your data and space will be used much more efficiently.
